Yemaya
is an intuitive rosen method practitioner, yoga
instructor, community visionary, ritual weaver and
performance artist.
Trained in Paris, San Francisco, Berkeley, Marin
County and Santa Cruz in Zen meditation, Astanga~Eight
limbs~Hatha Yoga, Earth based ceremonies and
Body/mindwork for over 15 years, she was the director
of Mana Luna Healing Arts Center in San Anselmo for 7
years and the
co-founder of the Laughing Luna Souls performance co.
A dancer from birth, she facilitates workshops such
as: Dancing with Source,
the Dance of Anger, Power and Forgiveness for Women,
Dance of the Soul,
and Sacred Theater, where movement, sound, trance work
and emotional
expression are woven to ignite empowerment and freedom
within the group and each participant.
She now resides on Kauai, Hawaii, where she has been
refining her healing practice and preparing the ground
for a village-intentional community based in
consciousness, deep ecology and the healing, creative
and performing arts.
Her latest offering was a two hours performance art
piece involving 20 dancers, musicians and visual
artists entitled Tribal Dream, a cosmic tale,
performed at the Kilauea Theater in May 2005.
